Toddler & Preschooler Sleep Coaching

It’s not too late to get better sleep!

it's not too late!

Toddlerhood is a time of big developmental changes which can affect even the best sleepers. Solving toddler + preschooler sleep struggles can feel especially intimidating because they’re bigger, smarter, and full of emotions. Whether you’re dealing with an ongoing struggle or new issue, it’s not too late to help your child sleep better.

But oftentimes the hardest part about making sleep changes is having one clear plan that you feel confident in. With toddlers & preschoolers, we usually have to get especially creative. Ditch the books, close your Google tabs, and let’s work together to get your family the sleep you deserve. Pretty soon, you’ll have a child who falls asleep easily, sleeps through the night consistently, and is on a predictable daytime schedule.

It’s time to go from surviving to thriving!

“A plan that WORKED”

I was so embarrassed my 5-year-old was still sleeping in my bed, but Jamie never judged or made me feel badly. She put together a plan that WORKED and we’re all sleeping happily in our own rooms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Step 1: Choose your perfect package. If you’re not sure which package to choose or you’d like to connect ahead of time to make sure we are a good fit, book a complimentary discovery call with me.

Step 2: After you purchase a package, you will receive a link to my calendar to book your 60-minute consultation. In the meantime, you will complete an intake questionnaire that will give me all the information I need to create a personalized sleep plan for your family. I will also send you some checklists and other materials to review and work through as you’re waiting to get started.

Step 3: On the date/time you select for our consultation, we will meet on Zoom to review your sleep plan. I will walk you through it, answer any questions you have about it, and make sure you’re feeling clear & confident about next steps.

Step 4: After you pick a start night to begin your plan, your 3 weeks of support will begin! You will have the option to connect with me daily via Voxer – a walkie-talkie app – to get questions answered, troubleshoot tricky situations, and celebrate sleep wins! I will also follow along with your child’s sleep on a digital sleep tracking log that you will fill in daily (it’s super simple – promise!) These support tools are helping for making sure all your questions are answered and we reach your sleep goals. At the end of the day, my goal is to not only get your family sleeping well, but make sure you feel comfortable, supported, and confident throughout the entire process.

Step 5: CELEBRATE all the sleep that your family is now getting!

Listening to your child cry is really, really hard. But I’ll be 100% honest with you (now & always) that there will likely be some crying during the learning process. There is no perfect formula to ensure zero crying. Crying is one way that children protest the newness, and while tears are not necessary for sleep training to be successful, they can be a byproduct of habit change.

But even though some tears are inevitable, they are also manageable! I will provide you with a comprehensive and well-rounded approach to sleep training that serves to minimize unnecessary tears by accounting and controlling for the many variables associated with learning to sleep. I will also give you a clear plan for handling the tears that accompany habit change so that you can show up in a consistent and confident way for your child.

Using my background in child development & infant mental health, I will teach you methods to minimize the crying and support you through the anxiety it may cause you. Many families tell me that the amount of tears they experience on a daily basis after sleep training is far fewer than what they were experiencing before when sleep was a struggle.

These terms refer to the level of interaction and type of response we have when teaching babies to sleep independently. They are also not terms that I use within my practice because I find it incredibly misleading that some sleep training methods are inherently more gentle than others. Additionally, many older children in beds need to be taught how to stay there and it is difficult to be successful with cry-it-out. We need to build your child’s confidence and create firm but loving boundaries around independent sleep.
Yes! Sleep works symbiotically and what happens during the day can impact night sleep (and vice versa). I look at the whole picture when creating a sleep plan, and you can expect to see improvements across all sleep situations.
I’d love to help your entire family get the sleep you all deserve. I work with children from age 0-5 so if you have multiple struggling sleepers within that age range, let’s get a plan in place for everyone!
While my strategies and guidance are rooted in science and research-backed, success relies heavily on making sure the plan is being fully implemented and consistently maintained. Think of me like your personal trainer: if you commit to the process, follow the plan, and are communicative with me, you can expect to see success. For the families who trust the process and trust me, I have a 100% success rate. It is only when families deviate or “cherry pick” from the plan that they do not see the results they expected.
